Site Safety Health Officer and Quality Control

Summary Chenega Security International, LLC is a leading Physical and Electronic Security company specializing in government infrastructure projects.
We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Site Safety, Health, and Quality Control Officer (SSHO/QC) to join our team for an upcoming project involving the installation of Active Vehicle Barriers at a military installation in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Responsibilities
As a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), you will be responsible for the overall safety and health of our construction site.
You will work closely with the project management team to develop, implement, and maintain an effective safety and health program that ensures compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive site-specific safety and health plan in accordance with OSHA and EM 385-1-1 standards.

Develop, implement, and maintain a project-specific Quality Control Plan (QCP) that adheres to the project requirements and industry best practices.

Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards, ensure quality control, and recommend corrective actions to eliminate or minimize risks and non-conformities.

Document inspection findings, maintain accurate and up-to-date quality control records, and report any deviations or non-conformities to project management.

Provide safety and quality control training to employees and ensure that all personnel adhere to established safety protocols and quality standards.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all safety and quality-related documentation, including incident reports, training records, inspection reports, and meeting minutes.

Conduct accident and incident investigations, as well as quality-related investigations, to determine root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent future occurrences.

Act as the primary point of contact for all safety, health, and quality-related matters, including communication with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients.

Coordinate with project management to ensure proper planning, scheduling, and execution of work activities in a safe and quality-compliant manner.

Establish and maintain a strong safety culture and commitment to quality among all team members through consistent communication and reinforcement of safe work practices and quality standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of combined experience as a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) and/or Quality Control Representative on construction projects, preferably in a military or government setting.

SECRET CLEARANCE
OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification.

EM 385-1-1 Training and experience.

First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety, health, and quality regulations.

Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks effectively.

Willingness to work in Fairbanks, Alaska, for the projects duration.

Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
